Boys Vs Girls….

When I fell pregnant with Moo and found out I was having a girl I had the odd comment from people of

oooooo you have your work cut out there!

I was an excited first time mum and comments like this were rather lets say, rude! Moo was a well behaved baby *here comes the bragging* slept through from 5 weeks 8-8. Was contented, sat in her chair most the day, did not really need entertaining that much. I couldn’t of asked for a happier baby! Obviously now as she has got older I have come to realise that she gets bored easily and needs stimulating as she is just too damn clever! and yes she is… I then fell pregnant with Thor and again came the comments but this time with..

boys are so much easier, they are so laid back, and the best thing is they are much easier to CLEAN!

Great I thought I could just about cope in cleaning Moo’s dirty nappy and I had just managed to potty train her whilst pregnant as I could not cope with two lots of dirty nappies to clean! so this sounded perfect, apparently I only needed one wipe, unless of course it was a poo, then it was a couple more… I really should of taken shares out in baby wipes before Thor came along as the amount I have purchased since his arrival has been unbelievable! I can go through half a packet! not a couple!!…. Give me a girls bum to change any day as the conversation was not correct! My son can poo…. and can poo a lot….. not surprising really the amount of fruit he eats… So I totally disagree with the conversation I had at the beginning of my pregnancy that boys are easier to clean, me personally I think girls are…

If you have one of each I would love to know what you think and what your opinions are? please join in and let me know?

Hahaha. This is so funny as I have to say that my babies were the other way around and TOTALLY conformed to the stereotypes. He was so chilled as a baby whereas she is definitely higher maintenance. When the little man was tiny I wondered what people were fussing about saying that babies were hard work, however with the little lady i have found a whole new respect for all the mummas to girls that I know.
And I’d still rather change a boy nappy over a girl one any day. x

If Thor didn’t poo so much then I would change my opinion of boys being easier to clean, but he goes up to 6 times a day!! and I think he just gets annoyed with me constantly changing him! I won’t lie Girls are hard work, especially as they get older, It was like Bam as soon as Moo hit 2!

I have to admit. Thor has a totally different temperament to Moo so in that respect is easier, I could let him play and he could entertain himself for a good 40 minutes to an hour, where as Moo needs constant stimulation, she gets board very easily (she is just too damn clever in my eyes ;)) I do think people like to scare new mums to be! I was petrified of having a girl as i thought I would have a devil child or something! hahaha.. All children are different at the end of the day!

I am about to have my second boy so nothing to compare it to but I have to say a teenage boy looks easier to handle than a teenage girl! Luckily my little monkey is only 18 months so those years are still a long way off x

I am totally dreading when Moo hits the teenage stage! she is 4 now going on 14!
