Conker Picking {The Ordinary Moments}

Every year, we head to our favourite spot and conker pick. The village where we used to live is still a huge part of our lives.. It houses Moo’s school and all her friends live there. It also has a little park which we still go to occasionally.

The husband had an eye appointment at the hospital last week, and as the hospital {half of it} is in the village, we decided to take Moo and H to the park whilst he was busy at the eye clinic.

The park is home to a huge oak tree and every year we go and visit this tree and pick conkers. Its rather early for conkers to drop but we managed to find a small haul and when daddy returned we had a pile of baby conkers.. Autumn is approaching and its a season I absolutely love..

      I am looking forward to going back, although is hugely popular with all the children in the village!

    Baby conkers are definitely a sign of autumn coming – if only they’d keep that shine when you take them home!

    Ah that’s so lovely and definitely means Autumn is on the way. I have such fond memories of conker collecting and playing with my Dad, I can remember those times so well. I am excited to do them with my girls. x

    This is one of my favourite childhood moments, we hunt some down every year and I love the signs of Autumn coming in. Looks like you did quite well and collected a few 🙂

    Oh yes! I need to go conker picking with my girls. It reminds me of being young and going with my brother. Sweet little post xx
