Last week I turned 30, it was a rather quiet affair, no party as such, no going out.. It started in the Thursday, we were leaving to come home but first making a stop of to see my dad who I don’t get to see very often. It was lovely, and I loved spending the little time I did with him. A teary goodbye and we were back on the road. I woke on the Friday to an excited Moo who wanted to open my cards, I have to admit I do still enjoy opening cards and presents! I let her help though. I was extremely lucky to be given some money from my in laws and sister in laws. The wonderful husband of mine bought me a wonderful MacBook Air..
The husband popped out as he didn’t have the opportunity to get to the shops before my birthday to get me a card from the children so he took Moo. He was gone for a rather long time, so when the door bell rang I was more than happy they were back, I opened it and they were both standing out side with a birthday cake with candles alight, flowers and my favourite chocolates! (as well as singing happy birthday!!)
I had a lunch date with a very good friend, we decided that as we had just got back from holiday he should just come over and we would order in pizza, so thats what we did! I was spoilt rotten as he bought me an iPad mini which was just amazing! Its something that means so much to me, he got it inscribed on the back so its really special. He is such a true friend and I can’t thank him enough!
Friday afternoon we popped out and then chilled for the afternoon. Saturday was a full on day, we went shopping in the morning and then went out for dinner with my mum and sisters. I got more presents and money which was lovely and the meal was really nice.
Sunday we went to my in laws and we supplied the food and had a BBQ, it was so much fun and we relaxed and drank in the garden. All the children played in the paddling pool and its just how I wanted it to be.
Turning 30 was not all that bad, I have had some wonderful gifts and I have spent it with the people I love and care about, thats all I could of asked for. The only depressing thing about turning 30 is, I am now in the next bracket when filling out questionnaires, which I never thought about before until someone kindly pointed it out for me 😉
So here is to me turning 30! Cheers..
