Mummy Hearts You Weekly Catch-Up

Oh I feel rather ashamed I have not done a weekly catch-up post for some time! I tend to get to Sunday and want to close the lap-top so I am typing this a day early! Its been a weird week, I am on countdown till the half term and G and H are most definitely ready for it! Without too much waffling, this is what our week looked liked.

Sunday Mr B was working so I had already decided it was going to be a homework kind of day. With G and H needing to submit pieces this term I decided to battle it out together! We managed to finish mid-miring which left the rest of the day to play. I decided to try out some Easter recipes which went down a treat with both G and H {Mr B rather liked them too!}

It was back to normal on Monday, but the bonus was that Mr B was off! We didn’t have much planned. I did the school run and returned home to a hot cup of tea waiting on the side. We had to be back at the school a little early as G had a hospital appointment. So with both of us there Mr B snuck off to pick H up when it was time. Once we were home, G got ready for swimming and we left Mr B with H. I was pleasantly surprised when I returned to have the lunches made and dinner on when I returned! A quiet night in, in front of the TV was had.

Tuesday I dropped the children off and hung around as I was reading with the reception class. I spent the morning with them listening to the children read. Once home I had a quick lunch and a cheeky catch up with Coronation Street! G and H came out of school, G not in the best of moods {its becoming a habit} I came home and did the washing, fed and bathed the children and waited for Mr B to arrive home. We caught up on Monday nights The Walking Dead.

Both G and H were on a school trip on Wednesday and I was supposed to go and visit my sister, but I was not feeling 100%. I decided to come home and go back to bed. I actually slept the day away, waking at 1pm! I felt so much better after. I managed to read plenty of my book whilst waiting for G and H to arrive back from the school trip. The evening was filled with lots of chatter about pirates, boats and skipping ropes!

Thursday I went shopping and returned home to housework. Mr B was working late so I had bought something nice for my tea. G and H returned home and we read, did our spellings and sounding out all together. I finished the pile of washing that I didn’t get on during the day. G and H were a little tired from the previous days antics so they went straight to bed and left me to tuck into steak and chips!

My favourite day of the week Friday saw the end of the school week and me on the final countdown till half term! {4 more school days!!} I didn’t do much today, dropped the children off and came home to a mammoth TV catch-up session. When I picked up G and H we got home and into our pyjamas. A relaxing evening ┬áin front of the TV watching cartoons on Netflix.

Saturday we went to G’s friends house. Mr B was working so it was nice to get out the house. I popped to the shops before hand to pick up some curry bits for dinner. G and H had loads of fun at her friends house and it was nice to have a good old natter with the mums!
