I have decided to do a little round up of the books I am currently reading, or that I have recently read. I used to love reading but since having children I just don’t find the time, or I am just to tired at the end of the day to even contemplate on opening a book. My mums husband recently lent me The Girl On The Train and it gave me the push to start reading again. It was such a good book and the genre was not really something I was interested in before I started reading it but I was hooked and when I finished it I needed another book to fill the hole. I found myself in Waterstones and managed to fill the basket with some really good recommendations.

Strictly Between Us  by Jane Fallon

First up was Strictly Between Us by Jane Fallon. I had seen it floating around Instagram and a few bloggers had spoken about it in Twitter. I decided it would be the first book to read. It was really good, very easy read and although I am a slow reader it didn’t take me long to finish. Its definitely chick lit material and I found myself reading chapter after chapter quite easily. I was a little disappointed with the ending but sometimes books just don’t pan out to the way you want them.

The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson

Secondly was The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson. I saw this on Jenny’s {letstalkmommy} LittleLove post a few weeks ago and she gave a good account of it so when I saw it in Waterstones I decided to give it a go. I have to admit, I struggled at first but all of a sudden it turned and I really got into it. The half way mark was the turning point and was a big surprise. I actually couldn’t put it down. I will openly say that I was so annoyed with the ending. It just finished abruptly and I felt like I still had a few pages to go to finish it off. I guess its up to the reader to conclude it themselves. I would recommend it to others but I will warn them about the ropey ending!

On my book pile next is Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris and another book my mums husband has lent me which sounds odd, but has been highly recommended by him is The Trouble With Goats and Sheep by Joanna Cannon. It may be some time before a little round-up goes up,depending on how fast I read them!
