Tea Time Battles Round 2…

I posted a while back how much I hate tea-time and how much of a struggle I am finding it (you can catch the post here) Well Its still my not so favourite time of day. Moo has got no better, in fact she has got worse! I found myself last week cutting the skin of the sausages… to which there was no sausage left.. which Moo was quite chuffed about as she then had minimal to eat. Ive resorted in telling her what she has to eat, dividing it into piles, she is a clever miss though and when I am not looking will add to the pile she does not need to eat! If she doesn’t eat it she doesn’t get anything else, its hard when Thor polishes his dinner off and gets a yoghurt after and Moo is sat there with a face on because she wants the yoghurt, but hopefully with a bit of persistence it will “eventually” settle in!

I have a similar problem with my two boys. My 3yo used to be a really good wee eater but he’s so fussy now. My 1yo will shovel anything down and always gets his ‘pudding’ but the eldest more often than not goes to bed having only had two bites of dinner. Lately my youngest has been refusing to finish his dinner if the eldest hasn’t finished his. It makes tea time a stressful and moody occassion.

It really is a battle.. Im dreading the day Thor picks up on Moo’s behavior and starts turning his nose up at food.. He eats so well at the moment!

Can relate to this! I especially love the picture! I was only explaining to my five year old Noo yesterday how rude it was for her to declare our meal disgusting as I put the plate in front of her!

Hahahaha… I am normally taken by surprise when Moo tells me she Loves what I put in front of her. 9 times out of 10 she declares its Yuk! I will then claim I shall deposit it in the bin..

      “but mummy I am hungry”

      You will eat it then”

Cue the tears…. and the 40 minute battle to feed her the dinner…..
