Spaghetti With A Yeti is a fast paced rhyming story about George, Monsters and a Yeti. An inquisitive kid that is determined to prove that yetis do exist!
I have to say, I love this book. Moo enjoyed it right from the off set and really got into it. I tried to get her involved and asked her questions as we went went on, to see if she was taking any of it in, and she was, she wanted to find the Yeti just as much as George did.
One of the things I love about this book is the double page illustrations. The pictures are great and well thought out. They are bright and not too fussy. Moo could pick out lots of things herself when I asked her to point things out and she managed without hesitation.
The only downfalls were that, the book was described as a “fast paced rhyming book” and yes it does rhyme but not as much as I would of like, I have mentioned before on other post that I love rhyming books. This book does rhyme yes, but I was expecting it to be more, which was a little bit of a let down, but the book is still a great book!
Its a really simple easy read, bar a few words that Moo had never come across before and I had to explain what they meant. But I think this book was a big hit and she wanted it read again!
This book is the start of a brilliant new series which I am really looking forward to! The next book is due out in 2014 so I will be keeping my eyes peeled because it looks like its going to be just as good as Spaghetti With A Yeti!
This book retails at £6.99. I was sent this book free for the purpose of the review. All opinions and words are my own.
