My Fitness Mission #TakeTwo

Last year I decided I wanted to get fit and reading all about Katie’s fitness and seeing how well she was doing, it gave me the kick up the bum I needed.

I am not a runner, I can barely run to the corner shop and I would end up puffing and panting. Its terrible really! Last year, I started running and within the first week of doing so I managed to knock off my first mile. I was so impressed at how easy it was. In between running I walked and I pushed myself a little too much and ended up damaging my knees. I suffered quite badly with them, ended up at the doctors and decided that it my running days were over for the time being.

Fast forward 10 months and I have decided that I can no longer sit of an evening scoffing my face and I should really make the most of the 3 hours I get to myself a day. I dug out my running gear and decided that I shall try again.

This morning I went for my first run and although it was rater hot and I lost my breath quite a few times, I did it and I managed to run. I have to admit now, it wasn’t far and I walked most of it, but I still gave it a shot. I feel quite good about it and it cleared my head of stuff that has been getting to me. I am definitely going to give it a damn good try this time {minus the power walking!} and hopefully I will manage at least a mile in the next few weeks! I really don’t want to push myself to the point where I am in pain, so I am easing myself in gently and taking it in my stride at my own pace.

I am going to try and have this as a little feature and update you all weekly on how I am doing! Hopefully net time I post I will have come close to my first target.. Reaching that 1 mile mark..
