Little Love 1/52

The first little love of the year. Last years little love gave me some lovely blogs to read and some of those blogs are now my firm favourites and ones I read daily, I am really that all those bloggers still link up with Morgana over at butwhymummywhy and I hoping to find a few more this year too!

Christmas is over and done with and we are now a few days into the new year! I have had a much needed blogging break and its been lovely, but I am so eager to get back and start blogging again!

So without further ado, here are my little loves this week..

Read

I have started a book! I have given up with my previous book for now and have started afresh for the new year. I bought The Fault in Our Stars from Amazon and it flew straight to my fully charged Kindle. I have already read a few pages and I am enjoying it already.

Watched

Righto.. The reason I bought the above book, is I actually watched the film and sobbed my heart out.. I was so distraught and wanted to fall in love with it all over again, hence the book purchase! I am hoping the film did the book justice!

I have also watched a hell of a lot of christmas TV.. Miranda being one! I love this show and I am gutted its come to an end.

I have also *finally* watched Homeland.. The last episode was a bit weird and disappointing, but its opened it up to be a pretty damn good season 5! This is by far the best season.. I was slightly hacked off that Brody wasn’t going to be in it, so I was half heartedly watching it but I am so pleased I carried on with it.

Who else thinks the BBC trumped ITV for christmas this year? I have not watched anything on ITV {apart from corrie} as its all been pretty mundane, the BBC have done well this year!

Broadchurch is back next week!! Yipeeee

Heard

Moo loves this song and its one that she has constantly asked for over the last few weeks. I am pretty gutted she has gone over to the more pop sound as I loved her country twang, you can just about hear it in some of her songs which is good!

I am loving this song, Im not sure why, but I do.. I heard it on Made In Chelsea a few weeks ago and its stuck with me.. Its slightly depressing! Sorry in advance!!

Wore

Christmas jumpers!! We went with the whole theme this year and I am so glad we did. I have said for years now I want to get some and we did very last minute.

Shamefully the past week I have been in my pjs, I went out with the kiddies on Wednesday to a soft play as they were climbing the walls, but other than that I have been snuggled in the warm in my pjs.. terrible isn’t it?

Made

I made some mince pies over christmas and they were not that nice, I need practise! I also made a disastrous gingerbread house which I won’t go into to much detail about! I also made my nails look pretty, since having children, I have been rather good at growing my nails, I used to be a nail biter, but I love painting them and I received some lovely Barry M nail varnish for christmas which I will be trying out very soon!

‘And lastly..’

With Moo sorted and operation grommet complete, we just have H to sort out! Today he was due to have a hospital appointment {I won’t go into to much detail} but yet again my luck with the NHS has failed me and its was cancelled. I am hoping it doesn’t come to him having surgery but Im not counting my chickens too soon, most likely that will be our only option but I am forever touching wood at the moment! Hopefully we will find out towards the end of the month..

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

  • I really need to get back into reading…..blogs and blogs have taken over again! Sounds like ye had a lovely Christmas! I really should have watched homeland seeing as all ye girls had watched it throughout the year!
Hope H gets sorted soon, the poor little thing! Have a lovely weekend and happy new year lovely!xxxx

  • I have to admit to shedding a little tear at the final Miranda.I have whole series of Homeland on planner so we can watch it without having to wait a whole week for the next episode! #littleloves

  • I’m trying to read more books too, but always end up losing an hour reading blogs rather than picking up a book. I love the Taylor Swift song too, it’s a good one for singing along to in the car.
Good luck with the hospital appointments, I hope you get some good news soon xx

  • Happy NY my love. Mr H said he thought the ending to Homeland was strange, I thought it was good. Yes I’m a little gutted about Brody too. So glad the op went well. I had grommets and everything done when I was a little one. I have tried to read Miranda’s book but failed miserably. Speak soon x

  • Oh gosh I just can’t take to that Miranda woman! Jammies all round this Christmas I think!
Glad to that the op went well, but sorry to hear about H. Hopefully you’ll get an appointment soon. Fingers crossed for that. Happy New Year x

  • Got to love Christmas Jumpers, though I totally failed to get one this year, I did buy a lovely new dress to wear for Christmas day though =)
I shall have to make up for this by wearing a Christmas jumper every day from the 1st December 2015! Hehe

  • So glad I joined in with this linky and looking forward to carrying on through the year – so many great blogs to read! We love Homeland too and to be honest I thought this series was better than I’d imagined without Brody in it. Roll on the next series! x

  • So pleased that you’re still joining in lovely, you’re one of my original linker uppers and I really enjoy your posts every Friday.
I was so underwhelmed with the Homeland finale, I was just waiting for it to kick up a gear, not sure if I’ll watch the next season 🙁
Hope H is ok and everything gets sorted soon xx
