Each Peach Pear Plum {What We’re Reading}

In this book

With your little eye

Take a look

And play ‘I spy’

Half of our book collection has been bought for us, christmas, easter, birthdays. This particular book was bought a few years ago and its always being pulled of the shelf. Its made a reappearance this week and a very welcome one.

Moo is going through a stage of “small books” at the moment. She will quietly wake in the morning, with little brother in tow and we will hear her reading to him. The “my first library” books are great for this, and the little boy is just as in to them as his big sister.

Each Peach Pear Plum is a particular favourite book of mine and I love that its interactive and the children can find things on each page, both getting involved whilst I read. Interactive books have to be the best kind.

Another favourite part of the book is the common children’s characters that are mentioned. The three bears, Cinderella, Jack and Jill, the Wicked witch and many more. The children are then able to look on each page and find each one.

I love the illustrations of this book and its a perfect addition for any Janet and Allan Ahlberg fans.

If like me you have been reading and want to share then please pop by Lucy (dear beautiful) Kelle (Maggie Stone) and Carrie (Space for Butterflies) and see what they have been reading and link up there!

    My sister had this when we were little and I remember it with great affection, although it’s not yet made it into the girls’ library (bad mummy!). The more you read of them, the more you can see just why the Ahlbergs books are instant classics.
