A Hug For Humphrey {What We’re Reading}

There is a new toy in the bedroom. He is soft, squishy, stripy and small. He does not know any of the other toys and, most importantly, he does not know ‘what he is for’. At first, this makes him sad but, little by little, with the help of his new friends, Humphrey discovers his own very special gift and understands just what he can do.

This is such a lovely story. Its based around a bear who does not really no what type of bear he is. His friends try and help him find out and they finally manage to find out exactly what type of bear Humphrey is.

It takes you on a journey of finding out what all the other toys can do. Its well written and a lovely bedtime book.

The illustrations are beautiful. Humphrey has a textured tummy which really encourages the children to get involved, asking to stroke his belly every page we turn.

The book is all about friendships and trust, and it simply puts that across in the story.

I always think its nice when I enjoy the book too. I love reading this.

If you have been reading and want to share then please pop by Lucy (dear beautiful) Kelle (Maggie Stone) and Carrie (Space for Butterflies) and see what they have been reading and link up there!
