Every month I have decided to pop up a post all about my two. It only seems fitting considering this is a parenting blog. It’s rare that I blog about G and H specifically. I blog about how hard I find parenting and the struggles that come along with it, but not individually on how they are doing. I used to do updates every few months on how each were doing but I’ve decided to do it slightly different with how I go about the blog post. Monthly posts I feel will work better, and it’s a prompt for me to take more photos. Which is what I am lacking lately!

How on earth are we in July already? June has been a mad mad month. Mad because we had an unexpected puppy purchase! G and H have had good few weeks of getting along with each other – which always makes for a very happy mummy! I am going to do a full post on everything puppy related but I cannot not mention her here. G has literally fallen for her and is absolutely besotted. Its lovely to watch and I cannot wait to see the relationship grow.

This month G has been pretty full on. We have struggled as parents to keep her level headed and her growing passion to stay up till its dark is not helping! She seems to never be tired which results in late bedtimes and early starts. We are cracking down on this though and hopefully we are at a happy medium with it all. G is now taking responsibility of her bedroom, it seems to have taken some time to get her to understand that I will not be tidying up after her! She is now persistent in keeping it tidy and neat! Which makes for a very happy mum!

Academically, G has done wonders this half term. School reports were sent out and she has done me so proud. Its amazing what she can do if she really puts her heart into it. She is still very much loving dance and is continuing with lessons at school.

G as I mentioned is besotted with Fleur. She was so surprised when she arrived home to a puppy running around {I think we all were!} She always wants to play with her and is forever cuddling her – to much sometimes! I am sure she will stop that once Fleur gets bigger!

H has had a great month. He turned six! Not sure how its possible that I have a six year old but I do. He is turning into such a kind hearted person and I could not be prouder of him. This month he has done just as well at school. He struggles with some subjects, but he has progressed so much since last term. H has come along amazingly at swimming this month as well. Center Parcs last month paid a huge part as he was in the pool everyday. Swimming lessons are going really well and he absolutely loves them. He is such a water boy.

H and Fleur are still on the “getting to know you basics.” Fleur has taken a liking to H’s toes and obviously H doesn’t like that. He tends to run off which makes Fleur think he is playing when he matter of factly points out he isn’t! It will take time to adjust but he is slowly starting to get used to the idea of having a dog.

This month has been full of highs and the relationship between G and H has really shone through. The puppy has been a huge benefit. No arguments about iPads, because they don’t spend near as much time as they usually would on them. The puppy has been a huge distraction! Its been lovely to watch them both interact with her.

June has been a good month and its been a joy to watch G and H this month.
