Who said you can’t go to the beach in the Winter? Since we got Fleur and since we have always wanted to take her to the beach. We wanted her to be let of the lead and for her to enjoy the fresh sea air, just as we do. Its taken sometime for us to take Fleur. We have just been so busy lately.  Dogs are allowed on the beaches from October till May. Both Mr B and I wanted to get her on one before May crept up on us.

We decided to go to the coast where we knew, so we went slightly further up than we would normally go. Because Fluer adores people, we didn’t want her having any distractions. She was in her element. A little dubious at first to dip her paws in the sea. Once she did though there was no stopping her from having a paddle.

After a very cold walk, throwing stones into the sea and collecting shells, we headed to a little cafe to warm up. G and H indulged themselves in a rather large ice-cream and I may of had a sneaky donut or two. You cannot visit the beach without getting a bag of donuts! Its most definitely a tradition we will be carrying on with.

I am linking up with Donna over at What The Redhead Said for this linky. I am hoping I can join in weekly! One of many new years resolutions!

Ooh those doughnuts! I love the doughnuts you get at the seaside, reminds me of Hastings and Margate as a kid. We braved the beach today, although I didn’t take any pics – couldn’t bear to take my hands out of my gloves long enough to get my camera out of my bag (such a wimp!). Can’t believe the kids had ice cream – mind you my little monster would’ve had some today if the little cafe had been open. x
