THE SLOWER PACED DAYS | THE ORDINARY MOMENTS

As a parent the weeks are pretty full on. School runs, after school clubs, swimming and not forgetting throw in a few birthday invites and play dates. It can get very busy. Obviously as a parent you get on and do these things for your children but there is nothing more, that I love than a slower paced day. With the hustle and bustle of a busy week, I sometimes really look forward to not doing much of a weekend. When I say not doing much I mean, lounging in my pyjamas all day and drinking copious amounts of tea.

January has been a pretty slow month. Its been a month full of lounging in my pyjamas of a weekend. Obviously not every weekend but quite a few weekends out of the month. I like to make the most of the days we don’t really have anything planned and take it easy, why? because I know that there will be some weekends where we just won’t be able to. They will be filled up with visiting people, parties, playdates, family days outs and exploring. Before we know it the working week will be upon us.

This weekend is filled with a bit of running around, and a bit of lounging around. Saturday was a slow paced morning, before dropping G off to a friends in the afternoon. It meant I was able to have a morning of my all time favourite things, pyjamas, tea and catch up TV. We had no other plans as the weather was shockingly bad and Mr B isn’t too well. Perfect Saturday to just get over a busy, full on week.

I am linking up with Donna over at What The Redhead Said for this linky. I am hoping I can join in weekly! One of many new years resolutions!
