Homework {The Ordinary Moments}
With Moo starting school, comes years of homework!
I would never have thought that in the first week of her being there she would have left with a booklet of homework! Well she did.
She was not impressed when I said she had to complete a few pages for school, but when I said she could colour the pictures in she was all in! She loves to colour and would happily sit at the table with a colouring book.
Its very basic stuff, and she completes the same workbook at school.
This is going to become a very ordinary moment for us. Something that is going to have to be done on a regular basis throughout her education. She didn’t take to kindly to it, but she was impressed with her end result.
I am linking up with the lovely Katie at Mummy Daddy Me for her wonderful linky The Ordinary Moments
Wow! Homework in week one! It looks like fun though. You’ll have to take a picture of her when she’s 18 and finishing her last homework for comparison!
Yes, I was more than surprised when I opened her book bag and found it! I am taking it slow though, there is no pressure for her to do any of it so we are just taking it slow..
I’m looking forward to the days when my currently very little girls take pride in the work they do – homework starting so soon is a bit of a shell shock I’m sure x
It was a little bit of a shock, I just got over the shock of her starting school!
Funnily enough I am quite looking forward to doing homework with my girls. I have fond memories of my Mum helping me with mine and it was quite a nice happy time. I bet you are so proud of her starting school. It will definitely be an ordinary moment for many years to come! x
I’m immensely proud, I can’t believe how well she has adjusted to it! I get teary still just thinking about how well she has settled in and taken to it!
