The Little Boy {2 Years 3 Months}

Its been a week since your sister started school and you have been lost without your little big play mate. For the last 2 years, you have had your sister by your side and now, she is off learning new things and its just me and you.

It showed this week just how much you missed your big sister. You wandered around aimlessly calling out for her, asking for her, thinking you were playing your usual game of hide-and-seek but to no avail you could not find her. Instead you gave up and asked me for cuddles instead, which I of course could not turn down.

Ever since you entered the world, you have been taken back and forth, here and there without complaint. Now with Moo at school we get to do things together properly, without being restricted to a 3 hour time frame. Mummy and Thor time. We get to have days walking through the woods, or visiting friends, playing at home, or trekking to the park. I cannot wait to spend these days with you.

I love this age, you play so well with your sister, but also play so well on your own. You requested toys last week and you played so intently on your own. I watched you and you happily played with the Fire Engine, placing Sam in the front, driving it around the lounge with your own sound effects. I love your imagination.

With your sister now at school I can concentrate on teaching you new things too. Becoming a big boy, potty training! This is a big deal and one I am particularly dreading. But I know if your not ready then I don’t need to push it, like I did your sister.

Since my last update post you have come so far, your speech, you are now putting sentences together. You surprise me everyday. You make me proud. I am proud to be your mummy.

    Oh bless him, it must be so hard for the younger ones to get used too. I hope your little girl is getting on ok. x

      She is loving it! I am lost without her too to be honest! Its slightly confusing for my little boy at the moment as she is still half days but next week she starts full time so hopefully it will be easier on him and he will get more used to it!
