THESE TWO | FEBUARY

Every month I have decided to pop up a post all about my two. It only seems fitting considering this is a parenting blog. It’s rare that I blog about G and H specifically. I blog about how hard I find parenting and the struggles that come along with it, but not individually on how they are doing. I used to do updates every few months on how each were doing but I’ve decided to do it slightly different with how I go about the blog post. Monthly posts I feel will work better, and it’s a prompt for me to take more photos. Which is what I am lacking lately!

February has flown by, literally I cannot believe we are facing the beginning of March tomorrow, March is an exciting month as it brings with it {hopefully} my favourite season! We had signs of spring through out February and we made the most of those days and as a family we spent some quality time together.

This month G and H have achieved so much. G is still swimming with the school and although we had a hiccup with her outside lessons we managed to persuade her into going and finally she realised she can do whatever she puts her mind too. She is such an amazing swimmer and she just needs that little bit more confidence into knowing she is. H has been going swimming outside of school now for a few weeks and he throws himself into and I love watching him improve weekly.

We have had many playdates this month. I am trying to be better in having their friends over. We have alternated it so G has someone over and then H. I enjoy seeing both socialising and its important for them to have a lovely circle of friends. Thankfully they both do.

This month we have had two very tired children. I am not 100% sure why, but bedtime seems to have hit a brick wall. I have somehow lost the plot a little with it.  G and H are going through a phase of bickering quite a lot too and the number one factor in all this is tiredness. I am rubbish on very little sleep, so I hate to imagine how they feel. When they are bickering and fighting I loose the will to live and I find parenting them very hard. G is very strong willed and once she gets something in her head, she doest let up. H has a temper on him and this has only started  since starting school. {I am sure you wouldn’t believe that judging by the picture below – Butter wouldn’t melt?}

One thing as a family we are trying to do is game afternoons. Of a weekend if we are not busy we tend to just stay at home. Santa bought some lovely family board games. We have been spending a few hours out of our weekend enjoying each others company and competing against each other! It a lovely way to spend quality time together and something we are all enjoying.

I have loved watching these two in February. They have been a complete and utter joy to watch.
