Sibling Love…

I love to watch Moo and Thor play. They can play so nicely together, but it can all change in a second. If one has something the other has then all hell can break out.

I love the moments when I will walk into a room and they will be sitting side by side and Moo will be reading a book to her brother, or Moo will set up a teddy bears picnic and ask Thor to sit down and join in, 9 times out of 10 he will trash it but still the thought that she asked her brother to join in is still sweet!

Thor is now at the age where he will sit and concentrate on things more and do things with his sister. Colouring is a big thing they both enjoy and they are forever at the table sitting next to each other drawing together. Play-doh is also another activity they enjoy doing together. We still battle with sharing but Thor normally just gives up and hands it over to his big sister in the end anyway.

Minus the tantrums this is the age I love. I love to see the relationship grow between my 2 children. It changes everyday. It can be lovely one minute and horrid the next, but thats what sibling love is all about. But I know one thing for sure Thor is most definitely going to miss his sister when she goes to school in September! (I will too! Its going to be very quiet!!)

Ive decided to link up with the lovely Lucy at dearbeautifulboy for her new informal linky called “mama love” pop over and take a look if you want to join in!

  • Since having two children I’ve become a bit obsessed with watching their sibling relationship as it grows and changes. There is nothing like seeing your children together, even when they are driving each other crazy.
Thanks for joining in with “a mama’s love”. x

  • Popping over from the linky, I love to watch my childrens sibling relationships forming. What amazes me most is how forgiving they are, No matter how horrible Logan can be to his little brother Dayton still loves him

    • I totally agree, Moo can be really mean to her brother but in a second she can be really loving towards him and those are the moments I love (the nice bits obviously, not the horrid bits ;))

      Thanks for popping by x

  • I love watching the relationship between my niece and son – there is 1.5 years between them and they follow each other around all the time. They play then fall out and cry and then follow each other around again. It’s so lovely to watch – it sometimes reminds me of my older brother and me (there’s 1.5 years between us too!).

  • Ahh this is lovely. My little boy has two older sisters (6and 8 years older than him) I was worried that it was a large age gap but the bond they share is lovely. They adore him and mother him constantly and he is just in awe of his big sisters. Beautiful to watch xxx
