One Day #1

Last week Moo had her second induction at “big school” and although she seems excited about going she was quite reserved and wanted me by her side. We arrived and went straight out to the school playing field where there was activities set up for the children and a huge wooden climbing frame! I thought this would settle Moo in as she loves the park but her little face was so lost and her bottom lip was quivering. I had to explain that I was going to be there all the time and she should just have fun! Once she was sat down and calm Mrs L told them the plan of the day, the older children of the school had come outside to help and also the reception class which had a few familiar faces from Moo’s play-school.

Once Moo was on the climbing frame she was fine and away with the fairies! She seemed to settle in and was quite hapy to be left to her own devices! Later on all the children were called back and had a huge teddy bears picnic. Moo looked so little going up and choosing her cakes and juice, she looked sligtly lost when she couldn’t find anywhwere to sit as all the big children had joined by this point, but with guidance from Mrs L she was soon sat down tucking in with her friends.

After the picnic they had some more play time and then they had a sing song which didn’t go down to well with moo, she complained it was too loud, I think it was just down to the fact she did not know the songs! She cried a bit and I was a bit wary at how it looked as I didn’t want it to look as though she was going to be the child who was going to have trouble leaving her mum at the school gates!

While all this went on I got a chance to meet with other mums and old mums who I met from the play-school last year who’s children moved up to school already. They gave us some great tips about uniform and what to get and not tot get! I also got a chance to look at the uniform as the school uniform shop was there.

Moo has one more visit at school its a longer session, she will go when we arrive back from holiday and she will stay there on her own! I will return to pick her up and have a school dinner with her which I have ordered, it will take me back to when I was at school I am sure!

I have been non-stop going on about Moo starting school, its a huge step for her and me, and I cannot believe its crept sprung up on us so quickly! So what one day has stood out for you recently? I would love to know! Link up below..

Ive decided to start this as a new linky called One Day. There are days that go by that I want to remember and share and more importantly highlight, with people that read my blog and I like to think that there are days that go by that you too want to remember and share. So Ive come up with a concept of picking a day every few weeks that stands out for me and linking it up with a blog hop.

Such a lovely idea for a linky.
School inductions are so close to my heart as I was a reception teacher before becoming a mummy, it’s such an exciting time but a bit scary too. Especially for mummies! x

Thanks so much for linking up!

I am nervous now, I dread to think what I will be like in september! Once that first week is out the way I think it will all fall into to place but till then I am a nervous wreck! I like the comfort of play-school to much I think!
