New Me…

Well, New Name!

When I started blogging last year, I didn’t really give it much thought. I just opened WordPress and started rambling, and here I am 7 months later thinking I didn’t really think about it.

The whole reason for me starting this blog was to document the bits I may forget, about family life, the little outings that happen that I want to remember or just to ramble on to anybody that will listen, about the daily woes of looking after my two little ones and being a stay at home wife.

I am amazed at some of the lovely comments I get daily from people and I have grown to love blogging and enjoy the interaction between other bloggers, on here and other social platforms.

I am nowhere near established enough to have an army of followers but I like to think that people enjoy what I write as people do come back. I have decided to have a major over haul on the blog, and change my name completely. The reason being is Cherry Blossom Rain does not scream out mummy blogger, in fact it does not give any thing away at all! But I know I could be treading on thin waters by changing my name as some say its a no-go, but maybe thats for more established bloggers?

So here we have it, its taken some time in coming up with a name, but I am hoping it sticks and its an easy transition for others to get used to. Its still the same old blog, and still the same old ramblings, just a different name, and its all for my children, and its a saying I say to them daily, Ive just tweaked it slightly! So I guess to me, it all makes sense!

I would love to know what you think? I really hope the name change does not put you off coming back!

It’s funny how we all start our blogs not thinking they will really become anything and then lots of bloggers end up really regretting their names or just wishing they’d chosen something different. I know initially I wished I had the word “mummy” in there somewhere to make it really clear that I am a mummy blog. And my name used to be really boy focused and wasn’t something I could grow into as my family grows. Now I really like my blog name as I think I will be able to grow and change with it as the kiddies grow.
I think it’s important to have a name that you feel happy with. And I think your new one is really cute (the old one was cute too, but the new one is so suited to a mummy blog.) X

I totally agree, I really didn’t think about the name 7 months ago! But onwards and upwards. I am happy with this and now when people search they will know I am a mummy blogger which is what I wanted.

I always wanted the blog anonymous, for my children, but me its does not really bother me so much now! So my “real” name has spread out to Twitter as I think its more personal when speaking to other bloggers.

I love you name! and it screamed mummy blogger as soon I clapped eyes on it!
