New Addition…

My neighbour, before she left had 3 cats, I used to cat sit, which Moo loved. I used to pop in there twice a day and feed them, give them some love and say my good-byes. Moo was so attentive and whenever they would be outside she would be all other them and would show them so much attention which one cat in particular  enjoyed just as much as Moo liked giving. I was asked last week if we wanted this particular cat “Lily” her name. As the circumstances had changed. Me and the husband thought about it and because Moo loves her, I would find it really difficult trying to explain why Lily was not around anymore and and Moo would generally be upset she was gone. Plus there are 3 things Moo asks for:

  1. Stairs
  2. A Garden
  3. A cat

1 & 2 we cannot give her at the moment as we cannot sell, but we are able to give her a cat! We have thrown caution to the wind and taken in Lily! We have told Moo its to see how we get on. Lily is a really lovely cat. At the moment she is currently in hiding under our bed,  we had a bad night, she is obviously missing the company of her “friends” and she was meowing a lot so I didn’t get much sleep, but I am hoping once she has settled she will fit perfectly into the B family!

Ahhh, getting our two cats was one of our best decisions ever. They were our babies before real babies and they are the softest cuddliest things ever. Better still they love the kids and the kids love them. I think a pet is a great thing for children to grow up with. X

I am just hoping she settles well, Moo is quite persistent and is constantly asking why is she under the bed, I keep saying its going to take time, but she is used to the cat that lets her rub her belly and stroke on demand! Once she is settled I am sure it will be different but getting her there is not easy with a 4 year old that wants the over friendly cat she is used to!

Ah, sweet. Wish my OH would let us have a cat, instead we have to make do with farm cats that are wild in the barns.

I have to admit, it is nice! Just having her around in the evening is lovely. Once Moo and Thor are in bed she has been in the lounge with us and she has been really content with us. I think she is still getting used to the fact of having young children about! You should keep on at the OH to get one 😉
