START OF THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS,IN THE DARK, NOSE PIERCINGS | LITTLE LOVE 27/52

Its F R I Y A Y which only means one thing and thats a LittleLove round up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

School is officially out for the summer and I could not be happier! Today we are on full on summer holiday mode. G is off to a sleepover to celebrate and I am going to just have a chilled day with H. I have been on countdown to this day since the start of term and now its here! It was a sad day yesterday finishing school. This school year has flown by!!

Without too much waffling here is this weeks #LittleLove

Again, nothing really to shout about. Ive been reading my book {still! – Im a very slow reader at the moment} I also read goodbye newsletters from the school for the end of term. Something strange about the end of the school year, I always get teary and emotional. I am so going to miss both G and H’s teachers next year. Both have been fantastic and I just wish I could of had them again for another year.

I have watched quite a bit this week. The two programmes that stand out are BBC1’s In The Dark. It consists of two separate two-part stories centring around detective Helen Weeks. In the first two-parter, Helen finds out that she is pregnant and becomes involved in a case in which the husband of her childhood best friend is accused of kidnapping two young girls. In the second two-parter, a heavily pregnant Helen is pulled into the dark side of urban Manchester as she deals with an unexpected tragedy. The first two episodes were really good, I saw a sneak peek of the 3rd and I am in two minds as to whether it will work. I enjoyed the storyline of the first two and I have a strange feeling the following two episodes are about something completely different. We will see.

Secondly I watched the channel 5 documentary on Sarah Payne. Obviously it was hard viewing. I remember her abduction so well. It was the first abduction {other than James Bulgar} I was fully aware of. It was such an awful chain of events and such an extremely awful outcome. Cannot believe it was 17 years ago.

I have heard this song on the radio a few times now and Its one I always take time to listen to the words. Its such a lovely song and Ed can really do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to song writing. It makes me a little teary when listening.

Those that follow me on Instagram will know that I have been wearing a nose stud! Yep, I finally bit the bullet and went and gone my nose pierced. I have wanted to have it done for years. In fact I wanted it done when I was 16 but my mum point blank refused and said no. So typically I rebelled and when I was 18 I went one step further and got my belly button pierced as, my thinking at the time, she would not have been able to see it! She did and she went mad. On Monday I called her and I told her what I had done, thinking she would blow her top, yes I know Im 34 and still worry what my mum thinks! She was fine. She is yet to see it in the flesh though! I love it and I am so glad I took the plunge and got it done. If you want to know if it hurt, well yes it did, but, my pain threshold is zero to none!

Nothing to shout about this week {again}. G and H made some lovely magnets to give to their teachers as a thank you. They drew a flower and signed it. I popped them into a clear fridge magnet case and voila. Two easy peasy teachers gifts to accompany a bottle of plonk.

I have started a weekly Mini-Series called For The Love Of, I know a few people have read it and said they like the idea of it being a linky!  If you would like to share with me what you have been enjoying, next weeks topic is Blogs, just pick three Bloggers your loving this month and write a brief description about it. I am always looking for new blogs to follow so if you want to join in you can! The topics change weekly from Vlogs, Blogs, Instagram and TV.. If its your thing I would love to see you link up!

What ever your up to, have a wonderful weekend!

I am linking up with the ever so lovely Morgana over at her new blog Coffee Work Sleep Repeat  for this linky,

  • I’ve been watching In The Dark too, I was quite surprised to see the story conclude so quickly I didn’t realise it was a series of 2 parts. I really like it though, I didn’t guess who the killer was like I usually do which is a bonus. Go you on the nose piercing, not sure I could have one can’t stand anything inside my nose I think I would be constantly sneezing. Have a fab weekend x #WotW

  • Ha ha I got teachers at the kids school booze too – I thought they deserved it! Love the nose piercing, although I’m wondering what else you’ll do – first a puppy, now a nose piercing! The Dark sounds really good, only thing I’ve watched since we moved is GoT and I still have Riviera to catch up on as I’m way behind on that. Hope you’re having a good weekend x

    • Can never go wrong with booze! Haha! Thank-you, I’m rather loving it too! Mr B is worried as to what I will want next! Haha!

  • Love reading your blog. You have a very pretty face and super cute nose and your new nose stud looks lovely. Only think cuter might be a thin, little silver beaded nose ring. You have a perfect little nose for a piercing. I say Yeah to getting your nose pierced and it’s not a Midlife crisis, but a delayed wish come true after seeing so many other cute girls with nose piercing and wanting one for soO long. Got mine pierced at 40 and my only regret was not having done it sooner. Promise a nose hoop would be “super cute” on your face.
