Its F R I Y A Y which only means one thing and thats a LittleLove round up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat. We have officially finished school and are now on our first day of our six week break! Im so bloody excited not to be stuck to a routine for the next six weeks and I can take it at my own pace. I still cannot quite believe G has finished infants and H has finished his first year in reception! Without too much waffling here is what I have been loving this week..

Not much this week. I have read a few blog related emails that were rather exciting! and I cannot wait to see where it goes!

I did buy a trashy magazine. I sat under a tree one day in the shade whilst waiting for G and H to come out of school!

I have taken a break with my book as I have hit another block with it! Frustratingly as I heard such good things about it. Will try again in a few weeks if I get time.

G and H finally had there sports day this week! With two attempts being cancelled due to poor weather. It went from one extreme to another as we needed up watching them sweltering it out in 30° heat! It was so hot but they all did so well considering the conditions. H managed to come within the top three in 3 races and G managed to score herself third place twice!

I have to mention Coronation Street. Last Friday was a huge tear jerker. The actors who play Kylie and David are so talented and they played the parts so well. I shed a few tears. Did anyone else catch it?

I heard this song a few months ago, and now its being played everywhere! I am loving it. Definitely one of my favourite summer tunes. I have to thank my mums husband to introducing me to Christine and the Queens! He reads this, so Thanks K!

Its definitely been short and playsuits kind of weather this week. I must admit, I actually struggled with the heat. The feeling of being hot and sticky and wanting a shower is not a nice feeling. Its been so much cooler and nicer today {Thursday} which has been a relief!

Making plans for the summer! I am so excited for this years summer holidays. We are not going away as we have so much going on with the house, but Mr B will be at home for a fair amount of it as he has opted for a different shift pattern which suits our family. We are planning days out and maybe a few nights away!

I made a Lasagne for dinner this week. I was really looking forward to it as I had added a little twist and to be honest I just didn’t enjoy it. Lasagne ALWAYS taste better either in a restaurant or when someone else makes it. My sister in law made the most amazing lasagne a few weekends ago and I tried to recreate it. Mr B said it was good, but I didn’t really enjoy it, maybe because I was eating it in 30° heat!

‘And lastly..’

I could not be more excited!……

Have a lovely weekend!

I know what you mean about the Christine and The Queens song! We saw her on Jools Holland a while ago and now she’s everywhere. It’s a super catchy song though so I’m not surprised.
Yay for the summer holidays!! We’re not going on a big holiday either but like you I’m enjoying planning little trips out and think it’s going to be lots of fun.
    Have a great weekend xx
