School Lunches, Golden Oldies, Me and Him Time… Little Loves 16/52

Happy Friday peeps… Another week has passed and its time for another little catch up with all the lovely bloggers that link up with Morgana and their #littleloves

This week has been a hectic week, most will know that we found out our school place {like may others this week!} Thankfully we got first place, unlike some, who I really do feel for! Its such a shame that not everybody can get what they want!

This is what I have been loving this week!

Apart from “that” email I have not read much.. I may of flicked through a couple more home magazines and the local news paper but I have not picked up my book! *shame on me*

This week has been a good week for TV.. I managed to catch the new series of MIC and it kicked off to a great start.. Nothing quite like a love triangle to start the series!

I also started watching the new Bear Grylls programme on C4 “The Island” 2 islands and 2 camps, one male and the other female.. Its a battle to see who can survive! Judging by the first episode, none of them will!

We may have started the walking dead again **cough cough** slight addicts here…

This is so old.. But I am a bit of a fan of Johnny Cash..

The weather this week has been gorgeous! We reached 25° mid week! I wore some very summery clothes! Skirts and tanks.. By Thursday it had dropped 10° and I was back in my coat! How depressing!!

Lunches.. Oh how I wished Moo would love a school dinner! Unfortunately she is so fussy she refuses to eat them!!  One thing I really hate doing is packed lunches! They are always the same and there is no variety as I am just not adventurous with them! What do you put in your little ones lunch boxes? Can you give me inspiration?

I also “made” myself get up to date on all the washing, as the weather was so nice it was good to get it all hung out so Tuesday evening I did it all so it was ready to hang outside in the garden Wednesday morning! It was dry within a few hours!

‘And lastly..’

The Mr has had 3 days off this week, the downside is he has to work all weekend which isn’t so fun.. But I have really enjoyed our 3 days together, we have gone shopping, eaten out and had a jolly ole laugh, child free for most of the days.. Summer shifts for him has kicked in.. We are lucky that his hours drop dramatically in the summer so it means more time at home! When the children are at school its nice just to have that time together as its very rare we have any time on our own!

I feel your pain with pack lunches! I’m so not creative with E’s, but then again she always eats it, I just worry that nursery will judge me, haha! I bet you’re so relieved about getting your first choice, it’s such a relief isn’t it? xx

Congratulations on your school news! The bento box idea is very popular among my mum chums, definitely worth a look I’d say.

Hope you have a great weekend xx

This weather’s a bit all over the place, isn’t it? It’s nice to have those warm days though 🙂 sounds like you’ve had a lovely time just the two of you, hope there’s more of that as his shifts change. Have a good weekend xx

Wasn’t it an agonising wait for that confirmation on schools! I’m so glad it’s over and hurrah to getting your first choice. I too got all my washing out and dry (so satisfying isn’t it) although I’m not so happy that it all needs putting away now!

Congrats for getting your first choice school, I’m so nervous for O next year. We live about 100 metres from our local school and he’s in the pre-school already and I will be just devastated if he doesn’t get a place. We didn’t get the hot sun this week but we did get a few bright days so can’t complain too much. Have a lovely week. xx

Glad you got the school you wanted. Also, love a bit of Johnny Cash – who doesn’t?? Isn’t it funny how having your man at home on a week day can feel so different from a weekend? Not that it happens often here, so glad you are making the most of it!
