I am actually unsure as to where this week has gone! I feel like I have blinked and its flashed past. I have been so busy this week and I have not actually been at home at all! Its been a little chaotic and I am pining for a rest! Today I am cleaning as we have family over tomorrow and Sunday we have H’s birthday party, he is 5 next week and I am not feeling to great about it if I am honest! 5!!!! Without too much waffling heres what I have been loving this week…

I have not read that much this week as I have not really had the time. I am so tired when I go to bed I have not picked up my book. I did buy some cheeky gossip magazines and had a flick through them whilst waiting for G and H to finish school!

I watched the most horrendous downpour this week and guess what time it was? 3pm bang on school pick and and you guessed it we got soaked!

I have been watching Love Island, I am shamefully addicted and I really wish I wasn’t as its awful. I find myself catching up on it in the afternoon and for some reason I just can’t switch off. Its totally trashy. Sticking with the reality theme I watched this weeks MIC and I was so shocked to find Binky did the dirty! I really don’t like her boyfriend though. He is way too controlling for my liking.

I am way behind on all my other programmes as between Love Island and Gossip Girl I have not watched much!

This is an odd choice this week. I heard this in an episode of Gossip Girl and its also from an early episode go Greys.. It not normally my genre but I weirdly like it..

The weather was so lovely last weekend {hooray!} We had bright blue skies for three solid days and then the rain set in. Yesterday was lovely so off went the rain mac and away went the boots {again} and back into summery clothes.

Erm… Nothing… BUT I will be making a cake today! I am going to make a Rainbow Skittle Piñata birthday cake for H.. Its my first attempt at a rainbow cake so I am hoping it all goes to plan! Pictures to follow next week!

I have been making these gorgeous garlic potatoes that we have with pie recently too. I dice them up, toss them in garlic and bake for 40 minutes. Yummy!

‘And lastly..’

As I said, next week is H’s birthday. We have a VERY busy weekend. Tomorrow we have a BBQ with family and Sunday we have a bowling party with his school friends. I feel like its been planned for ages so I am glad its finally arrived! The weather is supposed to be a bit dull, as long as it doesn’t rain I will be happy!

Have a lovely weekend!

Good luck with the weekend, sounds busy. I love the idea of a rainbow cake and would love to see a photo, I’m thinking of doing something similar but I’m not sure how the colours will work out, they could be very pale it very bright, any advice appreciated. Have fun
