Mothers Day Goodies, The Girl On The Train, Parents Evening | Little Love #11/52

This week has been a an odd one. G was ill over the weekend and it resulted in her being off on Monday and Tuesday. As lovely as the cuddles on the sofa were, I was glad she was back on Wednesday as she was fully perked up! Sunday, was Mothers Day and I received a Yankee Candle and shade, I have had it alight at every given opportunity! I love Yankee!!  Without too much waffling, this is what I have been loving this week..

I started a book! I know, I know, shocker! I was kindly lent The Girl On The Train by my mums husband and so far so good, I am really enjoying it. I manage to read it whilst waiting for G and H to finish school, I can see me not being able to put it down though.. Already I am hooked.

Not much to be honest. I seem to watch the same thing over and over again and find I repeat myself quite a bit in this section. Nothing new springs to mind this week. I have binged watched Call The Midwife, I am yet to watch the last one, I know what happens as I read it online thanks to some Facebook spoilers! Also, how good is Happy Valley, gets better every week!

We may watch Spectre over the weekend. Its available on Sky and its been on my list to watch since it came out in the cinema!

I heard some lovely comments about G and H at their parents evening this week. I always worry about them when they are at school and when the teachers praise their efforts it makes me proud, and also makes me realise I am doing a rather good job at being their mummy!

I am loving Kodaline at the moment and this has been playing {as well as All I Want} all week. Perfect to have on in the background whilst cooking and blogging..

Again, I am struggling with this lately as I literally live in jeans. Today G and H have a pirate themed day and will be going into school dressed as pirates! I completely forgot, so yesterday was out hunting for some pirate costumes! The stress that came with that! G wasn’t keen on having matching outfits with her brother so we have had to tweak hers to suit her!

We made plans for the house this week! We have now been here for two years in August {it has flown by!} and we always knew we would need to do the electrics {full house re-wire} before decorating. This week we have had a few people round and are now waiting on quotes to come in. Its exciting but nerve wracking at the same time. I {and Mr B} have an image in our head of what we want our home to look like and it seems a long long way off.. Small baby steps and all..

‘And lastly..’

Mr B is working all weekend, so I am taking the opportunity to visit my mum and her husband tomorrow. I am also dedicating Sunday to homework! Both G and H have pirate themed homework this term and I am hopefully going to complete the lot on Sunday! Here’s hoping!

Have a lovely week!

I loved Girl on a Train and will be interested to know what you thought of it when you’ve finished it.
Isn’t Happy Valley fantastic? I’ll be gutted when it’s over.
Have a lovely weekend visiting your mum and good luck with the pirate homework! xx

I always read before the kids come out of school too. To park within about a mile of the school I have to get there about half an hour early which is a bit of a pain but at least I get a full half an hour in peace with my kindle. Well done to G & H on their parents evening. Have fun with your mum this weekend x

I usually read whilst waiting to do the school pick up too. Sometimes it seems like the only spare five minutes!!
    Have a lovely week.
