little loves | october edition

Its F R I Y A Y which only means one thing and that’s a Little Love round-up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

October has been a fully jammed packed month. I have settled into my new job, and managed to get myself into a routine that finally works. Its been a bit crazy juggling everything but it seems to be working well. We have finished the month with a whopping two week half term! Its new for this year and normally I would be ok with it, but sorting childcare whilst I work has been pretty stressful. But family have come to the rescue and both Gracie and Henry have had a fun packed first week.

I won’t lie, I have felt very guilty about shipping them off to here, there and everywhere, but both Gracie and Henry have not really been bothered by it and it beats being stuck indoors all day!

Without too much waffling, here are the little things I have been loving.

Read

I started a new book. I finished This Is Going To Hurt and quickly started Jane Fallon, Faking Friends. I am really enjoying, its a really easy read. I have become a fan of Jane’s books and have added a few more to my wish list.

Watched

So many good things on TV this month. I really need to do another what I am watching round-up! I have quite a bit on my planner I need to watch and also a few new series on Netflix – Making a Murderer being one of them!

I managed to watch The Cry which was a BBC drama. Its currently on iPlayer so you can still watch it if you didn’t catch it whilst it was on. Now its a bit of a harrowing story about a baby that goes missing, but it was really very good. The first episode was setting the scene and then it all unravels. I have heard mixed reviews about it since it has been aired, but I would love to know if you have seen it what you thought?

A few programmes that are back for more series are, The Walking Dead and Greys Anatomy. Now if you know me, then you know I am a huge fan of both. The Walking Dead is definitely one I look forward to every week. I can’t tell you enough how good it is (the last season was a bit slow – but its picked up again). Greys Anatomy is just brilliant, I love all the cast and I will be devastated if it ever finished!

Talking of Greys Anatomy and its cast, can we just take a moment to appreciate Sandra Oh in Killing Eve? She is bloody brilliant, along with Jodie Cormer. I have not watched all the episodes, I think I am 2 away from the end of the series!

Heard

Two songs that have featured heavily on my music playlist this month is Only You by Little Mix and then Shallow by Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper. I am desperate to see the film, I just have not had the time to get out and watch it!

Wore

I managed to get myself some new pyjamas this week. I went for a pair out of New Look and they are so soft and so so comfy. I love a pyjama set. I am tempted to add the other colour {grey} onto my Christmas list!

I have also still been loving the turtle necks! I mentioned last month I had bought one. I honestly didn’t think I would like them, I am wearing them a lot lately. I am still teaming them with skirts and ankle boots. Easy to wear for work too. Not too casual and not too smart!

Made

I made a 9 year old very very happy! Gracie is a huge Little Mix fan and I promised last year that if they ever went on tour I would get her tickets. Thats easier said than done! I found out last week they were touring again next year. I pre-ordered the album so I could get a pre-sale code and waited with bated breath when the ticket line opened. It took 25 minutes to get some tickets. I have never felt so stressed, ever! But I have a 4 tickets and we are off to see Little Mix with her cousin! I may be a little excited too!

And Lastly

I am loving two extra things this week. The slow cooker and Hive by British Gas. As I have been out every day this week, its so easy to bung a load of stuff in the slow cooker and then about lunch-time switching it on using the Hive app! Amazing technology and definitely something that I have been taking full advantage of this week! Its nice to come home and dinner be ready! (Yo have to have the Hive Plug in order for this to work!)

Ooh I love that nail colour! Aww how exciting for Gracie to go see Little Mix, she’ll absolutely love it! I need to finish watching The Cry, the first episode was a bit all over the place but I definitely want to finish it as everyone has said how good it is. I’ve got Faking Friends on my kindle, think I may have to read that next. Hope the kids enjoy the rest of their half term and don’t feel bad about working, sounds like they’re having a ball x

Yay for Greys finally being back on! Oh how I’ve missed it.
I’m not sure what I think about The Cry, the acting and casting was really good but not 100% by the storyline or the way it was produced.
Well done on getting your hands on Little Mix tickets, I’m not surprised Gracie is excited!! xx
