little loves | December edition

Its Fri-yay, which means a Little Loves round up with Coffee Work Sleep.

I can’t quite believe we have reached the end of December! This month has flown by and we are on the wind down from all the Christmas festivities. Its been quite a wonderful December for us. Its been a fun filled month and its ended on such a wonderful high. I have enjoyed so much this month, so without too much waffling her are some of my Little Loves.

READ

I finally finished Faking Friends this month. Although it was a very easy read, I struggled to find time to sit down and read it. It felt like it took me forever to finish it.

I have two books on standby to read He Said, She Said by Erin Kelly. I’ve seen it doing the rounds on Instagram and its had some good reviews. I also have The Fault in Our Stars on my bedside table to read.

WATCHED

I will admit, I have not been to bothered about the TV this past month. I think the Christmas TV this year has been pretty shocking and nothing really has jumped out at me as a must watch. I have made the most of Netflix and enjoyed some good christmas movies though! Love Actually, The Holiday, Elf – Which was my first time watching it! I know shocking right? I have watched a few things that I have really enjoyed though

Christmas Chronicles –  This was the perfect Christmas movie this year. I really really enjoyed it and Kurt Russell plays a pretty good Father Christmas. Its on Netflix and I would definitely recommend it if you have not seen it already.

Made in Chelsea – I am still a big fan of this. I got behind though, so I am playing catch up on the last series. I used to love any kind of reality TV, Ive cut back on all the trashy ones though and stuck with this. I love the chelsea life and although its all very repetitive its an easy watch when you cooking dinner!

HEARD

Anne-Marie – Gracie has been listening to 2002 constantly for the whole of December, On Repeat! It was no surprise it was going to get stuck in my head

Dalton Harris – I didn’t watch the X-Factor, but I adore this version of The Power of Love featuring James Arthur. I have been listening to it quite a bit lately. Its such a beautiful cover. Totally deserved to win the show.

Cries of Joy – I know, bit of a cheesy plug, but the cries of happiness has totally blown me away over the last few days. Gracie and Henry were so appreciative to everything they received and it makes it all worth while to see the look of happiness on their little faces.

WORE

I wore a very sparkly top. I mentioned last month I had a works Christmas party to go to and I had bought a new top. I was worried it was too sparkly but you can never have too much sparkle in you life. I ended up wearing it Christmas Day too as I felt like I should get the most out of wearing it!

I also received some rather lovely leather Ugg, Chelsea style boots from James for Christmas. Ive wanted a pair for ages and I pointed them out last month and he did good. They are beautiful and so comfy. Ive worn them everyday since receiving them!

MADE

The house look festive – This month I have enjoyed making the house all festive. We decided to buy a fake tree this year. For years we have bought real ones, but I am not sure what came over us. I loved my theme of rose gold and I will be sad to see it come down. Its been lovely having the decorations up.

Memories – This month has been all about making memories. I have so many that have taken place this month. We have had the most perfect few days celebrating with family and I could not have asked for anything better. Its nice to take time away from everything and shut yourself away. Its been perfect.

AND LASTLY

As you all know Morgana asked if I would take over Little Loves from January.  I’ve been an avid supporter of it and I was blown away when I was asked to host it. I’m really excited and I really hope you all are too! I have made the decision to keep it as a monthly link-up. A lot of you agreed it worked better this way. So I am happy to go with the flow and keep it to the last friday of each month.

I am looking forward to seeing you all link up in January! Have a wonderful month ahead.

Love your sparkly top! I thought the X Factor winner’s song was fab – well I would with my James Arthur obsession! I didn’t watch The Christmas Chronicles. Might have to watch it while I still have my tree up! Have a great week x

Ooo I look forward to starting this linky again in January (I stopped in May when the weekly posts ceased). Just wondering whether you will have a badge for me to add to the posts? Let me know and I’ll join in every last Friday of the month from Jan onwards.

Both ‘He Said She Said and ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ are brilliant in very different ways. I couldn’t put either of them down (you’ll need a whole box of tissues for the second one -I sobbed on the train to London when I read it!)
Sounds like you had a wonderful December – it’s definitely the month for memory making isn’t it? Feels like it was forever ago already now! I hope the new year has got off to a positive start for you 🙂

Sorry it’s taken me so long to come back and read your post – December seems like forever ago now! I absolutely LOVE that sparkly top of yours and totally agree that you can never have too much sparkle. I was sad to put all of mine away last week 🙁 . I’ve not read He Said She Said so I’ll look forward to hearing how you get on. xx
