Holidays, Focus, Goodbyes… Little Love 30/52

Happy Friday peeps… Another week has passed and its time for another little catch up with all the lovely bloggers that link up with Morgana and their #littleloves

Its been a great week in the mummy hearts you household as you all know by now its the summer holidays!! Yippppeeeee

Without to much waffling, this is what I have been loving this week…

Read

I am handing this over to Moo this week as she received a letter in the post and I made her read it aloud. Moo’s headteacher has now left and to our surprise a personalised letter was sent out and it was so thoughtful and meaningful. Moo read it and I shed a tear. It had a few personal touches in it which really means a lot and It really is such a shame that the school is losing such a wonderful headteacher!

I am making my way through “The Women That Stole My Life” It is a bit slow at times, but I am going to continue with it.

Watched

20150254efaffe3d6f6

We downloaded the film “Focus” featuring Will Smith and Margot Robbie. It was quite a good film. Lots of twist and turns. It ended abruptly which was a little weird, but well worth a watch if you have not seen it!

Heard

Moo’s whole school put on a production for their headteacher. Each class put on their own little performance and Moo’s class sang this song. I am a huge Bruno Mars fan and you may have found me silently wiping away a few tears! Was an emotional day {especially when the whole school belted out “Ed Sheeran’s Photograph!”

Wore

I am stumped for this one, this week.. Lately its the same ole same ole… But.. As we are away next week I had to go out and try on rain macs {as a precautionary!} We are of to the Lakes and I have been continuously checking the weather and at the moment it looks like rain.. I haven’t worn it yet but I am sure I will be! {I had to try it on so this fits in perfectly foe this weeks category!}

 Made

So last week I made a home made curry and although it smelt delicious whilst I was browning everything off, I actually forgot to turn on the slow cooker! At 7 when I went to dish up I realised.. Total disaster!
I also made a marble cake on Sunday and had another cooking fail as I didn’t grease the tin! Luckily it came out ok. My butter icing needs some work as It was far too runny and once on the cake just slipped right off again! The cake did not look appealing at all {hence the lack of pictures!} It tasted great though!

‘And lastly..’

I am sure everyone by now knows it is the six weeks holidays and I am so glad its here! I really hate the rush of the mornings and as I type this {at 11:03} I am still sat in my pjs… Oh the joys of having lazy mornings!

Next week I will be linking up late as I am on holiday!! Its seems like it has been booked for forever. We are taking the car and heading up to the lakes for a week of camping! I will be back with my #littleloves over the weekend once I am back..

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

Sounds like an emotional week! Such a shame the head is moving on. Hopefully the next will be equally as passionate. Enjoy your break #littleloves x

I hope it does not rain too much for you on your holidays! Glad I am not the only lazy one on the holidays – I was actually just this morning feeling guilty about the hubby being at work while I puddled about in my jammies drinking coffee! x

Thank you, hoping all the rain happens over the next few days, rather than next week!

I hate slow cooker disasters! I had it once where I was making pulled pork and by tea time it was still raw! x

I’ve gone out for the day all smug knowing that i have dinner all organised when i get home and then find it switched off at the plug and everything is raw! Arghhh! Gotta love PJ mornings, my 2 boys are still home most days so we have PJ mornings often (maybe too often?) Have a great weekend x

Thank you, the cake really wouldn’t have been given any marks in a baking competition that’s for sure! Will have to master my icing skills!

Haha, I’ve done that with the slow cooker before. Gutting… Thankfully I managed to just cook ours on the hob, but it was a very late dinner!

    Enjoy the lakes 🙂 #littleloves

How sweet that the headteacher sent out a personalised note? That is so thoughtful and things like that really stick with kids and mean a lot. Sounds like a fantastic one. I love that you are still in your PJs at 11am – brilliant! That’s how it it should be! I am gutted that you didn’t switch the slow cooker on! I would be so annoyed!!! xx
