Guilty Pleasures, Blue Velvet, Sunny Days… Little Loves 22/52

Happy Friday peeps… Another week has passed and its time for another little catch up with all the lovely bloggers that link up with Morgana and their #littleloves

This week has been horrendous.. I have not really been with it and I am so glad the hubs was off to help me out with half term.. Last Thursday my lovely nan passed away peacefully and I am so cut up about it. I am holding a lot of guilt and my feelings are all over the place. We have managed to keep busy all week and with the funeral booked for next week, I am currently walking around in a daze. Its hard, bloody hard…

I have not really been loving much this week but I have managed to have a pretty decent half term with the kids and keeping busy is most definitely helping!

I unfortunately have not read nothing.. I have not opened Bloglovin all week and the only thing I managed to read was last weeks comments on my Little Love post!

I managed to watch all of that hideous programme I was taking about last week in my little loves, “Married At First Sight”… It was awful, bad, and just wrong, but was so addictive! They have a second series out so I may watch that one too!

I have not watched anything else worth shouting about. Corrie is on every night this week, so I have managed to stay up to date with that {huge guilty pleasure!} Its been really good lately! Tracey is a complete cow!

This is a song my nan used to play, I have been listening to it heaps this week, it reminds me of her, obviously, and it comforts me in a huge way. I have vivid memories of her playing it on her record player when I was younger…

I wore lots of summery clothes this week.. Without a coat! The weather has been lovely and we have really made the most of it since it being half term! I am really hoping these sunny days are staying around as they really have been lovely!
I had to go dress shopping too, I have nothing suitable for a funeral, so spent Wednesday evening searching the shops.. Could I find anything? Nope… I ended up returning with a pair of trousers!

We “made” our first BBQ meal of the summer! I was so excited and ever since we have had a garden its all I have wanted to get. It was so simple and we all really enjoyed it, eating alfresco has to be the best!

‘And lastly..’

When times are tough I always have this one to turn too, he has been my rock the past few weeks, what with the accident and then the death of my nan, he is such a super star and I am so so lucky to call him my husband…

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

  • So sorry about your nan lovely. Sending big hugs.

I can’t wait to have a garden so we can have bbqs too, hopefully this summer!

Hoping you feel a bit better soon my dear, these things take time though. Much love xx

  • I’m so sorry to hear about your Nan lovely, i have no words to say that can help but sending my love.

You’re braver than me with the summer wear, I’m not ready to get my legs out just yet. They’re sooooo ghostly!

We’re hoping to have our first BBQ on Sunday fir H’s birthday.. Not sure the weathers going to be nice enough though!

Hope you have a peaceful weekend xxx

  • I am so sorry to hear about your nan, it’s so difficult losing a loved one and my thoughts are with you and your family. Like you my hubby is my rock so it’s great you have such a support in him. I use to love Corrie but I have got out of watching it recently, but seeing the adverts this week it looks like a scorcher of a storyline. (excuse the pun) We haven;t had much sun, the last two days haven’t been the best, I can’t wait to get into my summery clothes. #LittleLoves

  • Such sad news about your Nan, I am sure it has been a very difficult time, though wonderful that your man is such a good support to you. One of the reasons I love this link up is that even in the hard times it forces you to stop and reflect on the little things, like a BBQ, that have made the rubbish times a bit more bearable x

  • Aww sad to hear about your Nan, thoughts and prayers go out to you and all the family. So nice to be in the sunshine isn’t it? It’s now pouring down today but at least we’ve had a great week. xxx #littleloves

    • Thanks lovely, it’s hard, very hard but I have managed to keep busy.. I have a load of guilt at the moment, which isn’t helping! Silly things but things I wish I had taken into account when she was alive.. So hard xxx

  • Aww so sorry about your nan. My nan passed away a few weeks ago and I pretty much made myself as busy as possible so I didn’t have to think about it. Its lovely you have that song to listen to and remind you of her, not that you need reminding of course, but songs just seem make you smile when you hear them and automatically connect to a loved one. Glad you have the support of your lovely hubby. Hope you have a nice weekend and get some more sunshine x

  • I’m so sorry about your nan, hold onto all the wonderful memories.

Yey for a BBQ! We had our first one of the season last night, hoping the weather warms up so they can be more regular.. Hope you had a good weekend xx

  • So sorry to hear about your Nan, it’s always hard when you lose someone, thinking of you lovely. Good to hear your lovely husband is looking after you xxx
