Its F R I Y A Y which only means one thing and thats a LittleLove round up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat. We have had a fun packed busy week. How hot has it been this week? Its peaked at 35° here and by Thursday I was practically a sweaty mess! Its been so nice to sit in the garden and have a more chilled week than last. We have had playdates with friends and strangely on the hottest day of the week we took G and H to the trampoline park! It was an hour of fun but by the end of it both G and H were so tired and red as tomatoes from all the jumping! Here is what I have been loving this week!

I finished Harry Potter and The Cursed Child and I was pleasantly surprised. I started off feeling hugely let down by it, but 150 pages in it picked up and I couldn’t put it down. Like most people that have read it I will be re-starting at some point books 1-7. It sparked that HP obsession again.

I have also been given The Unmumsy Mum book to read from a friend and I am so eager to get right into it. I have some quiet time over the weekend where we have nothing planned so I may sneak of and steal a few moments to myself to grab a read.

Now the Olympics is over with the TV schedule has resumed back to normal. I have a few things on record to watch, one being One Of Us on BBC. I saw it advertised a few weeks ago and Its one I have been looking forward to.

I cannot not talk about Bake Off! Its back and the first episode was a good one. I am definitely going to be making some of those Jaffa Cakes! Did anyone else see Mr Hollywood dunk his in his tea though?!?! Yuk!

Two songs this week have been a staple on my Playlist. The first is definitely a summer song and has been dancing away in the kitchen whilst I have been making tea!

Secondly I have heard this so much over the last few weeks whilst driving around and I really do like it. Its such a gorgeous song.

I got my legs out this week. It was so hot my theory of staying covered up went completely out the window and I had to wear shorts.

Mr B’s parents came over to help with the garden so I did some lunch and made a victoria sponge. It was a bit of a disaster as the non stick pan wasn’t exactly non stick and it got stuck so I had to patch it together! It tasted ok though!

I am hosting a McMillan coffee morning next week so I have a few bakes up my sleeve. I am hoping the cakes don’t stick to the pan this time though!

‘And lastly..’

We have spent most of the week in the garden. My father in aw came over to cut back a tree that had become rather unruly and I have now got little dangly things hanging from the now accessible branches, including a wind-chime which sounds so lovely when its hit by the breeze. I may not say that in the winter when we have a full on gale outside!  We have also bought some bulbs which I have planted around the garden and in some planters so come Spring I will hopefully see some gorgeous plants popping up!

I also cannot mention about Flora the Flamingo.. I have a huge obsession with them and my lovely mum and her husband bought me this garden ornament that I absolutely love. She fits right in next to my Red Robin. I cannot stop looking at her.

Have a lovely weekend!

  • I feel like I’m the only person on the planet who isn’t super in to GBBO… I totally see the appeal, but we don’t own a telly and so everything I watch is catch up, and I feel like after a few minutes on Twitter I basically know the whole episode anyway! Haha!

Sounds like you’ve had a great week with some glorious sunshine – making the most of it too.

  • I’m intending to re-read the HP series now too. Also a huge GBBO fan here too! Good Luck with your coffee morning, hope the bakes are all delicious. I think I might try and do some this week, if I get time. Enjoy your weekend! #LittleLoves

  • I thought that HP and the Cursed Child was brilliant, and I loved it way more than I thought I would! I read all the books again a couple of months ago, and I just can’t get enough. I also love GBBO and I am so so happy that it is back! xx

    • Its funny how a programme like GBBO can get the nation talking! Its definitely by far one of the best things on TV!

  • I love your Flamingo, how cool does it look in your garden? How could was Bake Off, my husband pretends to not like it and pretends to look for something else to watch but then always switches it back on. He loves it really! xx
