GOOD ME-BAD ME, SUPERMARKET FLOWERS, KITCHEN PROGRESS | LITTLE LOVES

Its F R I Y A Y which only means one thing and that’s a Little Love round-up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

It feels like ages since I last wrote a blog post. In reality its been two whole weeks. I’ve hit a brick wall blogging wise and I have taken a break. I have so much going on in life at the moment and Im struggling to juggle everything. I’m hoping I will get back into a routine of work, blogging and general life.

I’ve so much I want to update you all on. Life in general, a very moody 8 year old that I am really struggling with and constantly feel like I am failing at parenting, kitchen updates and health! But for now I am back looking back at all the things I am loving this week. Im gutted I missed last weeks (that the second little loves this year I have missed) and I really do not want to be getting into the bad habit of not joining in!

Without too much waffling, here are the little things I have been loving.

I finished Eleanor Elephant is perfectly fine a few weeks ago and I was utterly drawn into the character. I know its just a book but I was so drawn in I actually felt I knew and connected with her through the pages. It was such a wonderful book and I would highly recommend you read it if you haven’t!

I started a book straight after finishing that one and its really good. I am really enjoying it. Its called Good Me Bad Me and its really intriguing and I am excited to see how it pans out. I am hoping to do a monthly review of all the books I have been reading at the end of this month so look out for that to find out what I thought!

So much. I’ve been catching up on all the things I am behind on, on my planner. I have so many Marcella’s to catch up on! Think I am only 2 episodes in! All the trashy TV seems to have come back all at once. Towie, Made In Chelsea, Teen Mom {which I am a sucker for –  I know! 30 something and watching that!}

I watched two Youtube videos this week that I thought I would share too. Charlotte Taylor shared her most gorgeous birth story this week! I waited with bated breath on the arrival and the video is just so so lovely and had me shedding a tear or too.

I also found a new vlogger this week Lorraine Mulrooney. This video comes with a warning, its truly heartbreaking and so very very sad. She is such a brave lady for sharing this.

This song has been playing ALOT this week. I have heard it so many times on the way to school and back again. I wasn’t keen at first but after listening to it so many times its definitely grown on me.

The weather is seriously getting me down. Today I read that we are expected more snow over Easter! I mean really? I’ve been teased too often with blue skies and warmer days and then, just like that we are back into low temperatures and freezing in the school playground! I actually had to dig my wooly hat out this week!

If you follow me over on Instagram you will have seen some updates on our kitchen fitting. Its been a long process {well only a week! –  but thats long enough without a cooker and sink!} This Mr B went back to work so we have not really done too much more. We have all the cuboards in and the work top fitted. The base units have their doors on and now we need to give the worktop another 2 coats of oil before the sink and hob are fitted!

I’ve a cooker now though which is making my life so much easier. I mentioned on Instagram this week my new cooker was the ovens used on the Bake-off. I have to admit, I am in love with it and its so so lovely! Who knew I would get so much pleasure from an oven!!

I have not been putting too much back in the kitchen, but I did add my marble slab serving board from Aldi to protect my new worktop from any heat damage! Its fits in perfectly!

If you follow me on social media you may of noticed I shared this image on Instagram and Facebook this week. I am just going to leave it here as well.

I can’t stress enough at how important it is to check changes in moles. The skin is a vital organ, it protects us, so why are we not protecting it?! {I am now!}

I was utterly clueless about skin cancer before diagnosis. Its so important to report any changes or new fast growing moles to the doctor. Early detection is the key with any cancer. I’m still so shocked 3 years on that I was diagnosed, still struggle to get my head round it but they got it early and I just thank god that they did.

The fact I am being watched and kept a close eye on is a saviour for me, I’ve got someone to call if I’m ever worried {and I’m always worried!} constant mole checks and skin MOT puts me at ease but it doesn’t stop the fear. The fear it will return.

Please check your moles, for any changes, growth or new fast growing ones. It’s so important. Also, always use protection and please don’t use those god awful things they call sun-beds. personally they should be banned, if only you actually knew what they did to the under lay if your skin!

Whatever your up too, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I am linking up with the ever so lovely Morgana over at her new blog Coffee Work Sleep Repeat  for this linky,
