Its F R I Y A Y which only means one thing and thats a LittleLove round up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

Lets start off by wishing you all a very happy new year and I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the start of 2017. It was a quite one here. I am not a big fan, so we just curled up in front of the TV. I woke to the sound of fireworks which seemed to go on forever and for some reason they sounded extra loud! But I have welcomed the new year with open arms and am really looking forward to what the year has for us as a family.

I have been loving lots of things this week though, so without too much waffling here is this weeks #LittleLove

I finally finished The Unmumsy Mum. I started it months ago and have been reading it at school pick-up whilst I wait for G and H to come out of school. It was a thoroughly good read and if you have not read it then you really should. I have two new books lined up to read which I am looking forward to starting this week.

We have finally caught up with The Walking Dead. It finished on quite a nice ending with them all joining forces again. I actually love Negan, yes he is rather sadistic but I find him so  funny in the things he says. He is such a witty character and I think production team cast him really well.

Also, we are finally catching up with the last season of Ray Donavon. We got so far behind with this season. We have about 5 more episodes to go. I detest Ray’s son. The kid needs a good talking too!

I have been listening to Smooth Radio ever since I got my new DAB. I find myself in the kitchen most of the day and its such a nice change not to have the TV on constantly. The kitchen is where I do most of my blogging work so its nice to have something on in the background.

G received a CD player for christmas and it feels strange having her upstairs listening to pop music. She has been playing Little Mix and Taylor Swift on repeat from Christmas so I have their albums imprinted in my brain. I find myself singing even when G isn’t listening to them!

The week before Christmas I bought two new lipsticks and I am loving them. I have tried dark lipsticks before and I just didn’t get on with them but I picked these two up in Sainsbury’s and I have been wearing them both a lot {the darker one more} I thought they were Matt but they have a shine too them, so here is my question Little Lovers what is a good Matt Lipstick as I am still after one.

I was back to making pack lunches yesterday, I have not missed it at all. I tend to prepare them the night before as I find myself with little time in the morning.

We also put the last bit of flatpack furniture together this week. Both G and H now have fully functioning bedrooms which is lovely, they are spending more time upstairs playing than they are downstairs! We have another order of our wardrobes coming next week and some side cabinets. I cannot wait to get my wardrobe together as my current one is on my landing and I cant get in it!

And lastly..

The last two weeks have been wonderful. We have had some lovely family time. We have bumped back to reality though and with both G and H back at school it feels like Christmas was months ago. I am counting down the weeks till the next school holiday!

I am linking up with the ever so lovely Morgana over at her new blog Coffee Work Sleep Repeat  for this linky,

I’m very much the same as you when it comes to the new year – I’m not one to celebrate it, tucked up in bed by 10pm, but I do happily welcome it.

I bet it feels great getting all the furniture set up and having things in the right places. Flat pack is a pain in the butt though… I say, but actually my partner does most of the building, I do the directing!

My son started nursery this week, and I definitely get the ‘counting down the weeks till the next school holiday’.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Funny you should say that, as I put together all the furniture and then when we both put together a wardrobe it all went wrong! Haha.. I blame the husband!

Thank you! I’m trying to build up a lippy collection!

I’m glad you’ve had such wonderful family time together! I also love being able to listen to the radio in the daytime – it’s great to have a singalong and have no TV on. As for matte lipsticks, Rommel do some great ones, including in their Apocalips range. Definitely take a look. Have a great weekend x

I love your new radio, it is so pretty! And love the lipsticks too, sorry I can’t help with the search for a matte one though. I don’t want half term to come around too quickly for once as after it I’ll be back in work (booooo!) xx

I’m so glad I bought the radio, took me ages to decide if I was getting it! Booooooo to having to return to work at half term! 🙁

I am loving those lipsticks! Especially the darker one! I steered away from vibrant lipstick until this year and now I love them! I have a matt red lipstick from natural collection but it doesn’t last very long. It sounds like family time was exactly what you needed over Christmas. Hope 2017 is ana amazing one 🙂 xx

Cannot wait for my wardrobe to arrive, I need a good clear out if my old one!

  6. January 6, 2017 / 7:38 pm

I saw in the new year doing the same – on the sofa, with treats, watching a film. I do love a good fresh start that new year brings though. I think I need to get a little radio like that for the kitchen, I miss listening to music (always seem to have Paw Patrol or Toy Story on in the background!). Love those lipsticks – I’d never be brave enough to wear them! Enjoy your weekend xx

Love my radio! Was such a good purchase! Fits really well in my kitchen too xx

  7. January 6, 2017 / 7:45 pm

I was asleep at midnight too. The unmummsy mum is sat unread on my bedside table. Must try harder to read more this year.

Definitely read the book! Was such a good read!

Oh man I know what you mean about Negan. I love Jeffery Dean Morgan from his Grey’s Anatomy days and I just can’t help but fancy him as Negan even though he is psychotic!
As for lipsticks I have a matte one by MAC which I love, expensive but so good.
    Have a lovely weekend xx

Packed lunches are my biggest HATE. I prefer to make them in the evening too, just not a morning person. I’m with your girl on Taylor Swift and Little Mix, I’m 45 but love them both lol! Happy New Year to you and yours. x

      January 6, 2017 / 8:45 pm

I’ve never been a morning person, the last thing I want to be doing when I have just woken up is make cheese and pickle sandwiches! Haha!

  10. January 7, 2017 / 3:13 pm

Glad I wasn’t the only one in bed before midnight on New Year’s Eve. It was always such an anticlimax when I was younger, I’ve never really bothered celebrating it since. Saying that I do love the ‘newness’ of a new year and the possibilities it brings.

Love your radio, it’s gorgeous! Those lipsticks are lovely too. Hope you’re having a fab weekend x

I agree about Ray’s son, he’s just exactly what a spoils child is to me, no grasp and no realistic attitude. Happy new year X #littleloves

I love lipsticks but they never look good on me! I would love to wear a bright Matt red.
