New Beginnings

Today is a big deal for me. Its the start of a new era and I am so excited. Today I start a new job, a job where I have to go to and a job I get to socialise with people! Its been 10 years since I actually went out and worked. I am so nervous, but so excited at the same time.

Ive been working from home for a good few months now and although it was really handy, it just didn’t work out for me. I am so thankful that I was given the opportunity. It wasn’t something I was actively looking for, this one just happened to pop up, more hours and a bit more stability. I couldn’t throw away the chance. It works around school, permanent Monday to Friday which parents will know, jobs like this are extremely hard to come by.

I needed a job that fit with the school hours, still gave me the opportunity to do the school run {even though its my least favourite time of the day} and still gave me the means to spend time with my family. It would of been silly for me not to go for it. I will admit, I honestly didn’t think I had got it, but I got the call and here I am. Suited and booted {well, in my mum uniform} and ready to “head to the office”

I am so excited. It will give me so much more, it means I get to have a conversation with other people. Thats what I have missed the most. Being a stay at home mum, is lovely,  but its hard when thats all you do. It was always the plan that I would eventually go back to work. I knew it would happen. Just not this quickly. I was intending to go back in a few years. But you just never know whats round the corner. Its something I could not turn down.

Today is a huge deal, its the start of something new, something rather amazing and I cannot wait to start this new venture. I am incredibly excited and nervous all at the same time. Here is to New Beginnings!

It felt weird having to actually having to go to work. Went really well and think I’m going to be very happy there! 🙂
