Little Loves | July Edition

Its F R I Y A Y which only means one thing and that’s a Little Love round-up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

Can we just take a moment to reflect on how quickly July passed? I actually couldn’t believe it yesterday when I realised I had not written up a post! This month has flown by and we are well and truly embracing the six week holidays. We have made the most of the very lovely weather and got out most days.

Today it rained! I mean its been over two months I think since the last downpour. It hit in the early hours and co-incidently had me up at 5am as it was pretty heavy. For all of 1 hour it felt cool and refreshing, until the sun rose and now I am as sweaty mess!!

One thing I have been loving this month is, Fresh Flowers, I mean they smell gorgeous, look beautiful and brighten up any space. I have been buying a selection every week, from roses, sunflowers and lilies.

Without too much waffling, here are the little things I have been loving.

I finally finished Friend Request this month. I really picked up and I actually enjoyed it in the end. It was a bit of a slow burner for me but I would recommend if you want a good thriller to read this summer. I have quickly started another book, The Girlfriend by Michelle Frances. At the moment its ok, but I am hoping like Friend Request it picks up. Not sure how much reading I will get done throughout the holidays!

I have watched quite a bit this month. We got really really behind on the Walking Dead this season and we finally caught up this week. I’ve got to admit, I was a bit disappointed with the whole season as it just didn’t match to previous.  When Rick did the thing we have all been waiting for, I yelped just a little {no spoilers, in case like me your behind!} I am gutted that Andrew Lincoln has announced he is leaving, where will it go now? They left it on a bit of a cliff hanger, I hope to god, Maggie and Daryl don’t turn on him!

I know he is the baddest of them all, but I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s portrayal of Negan, he has done a marvellous job in bringing the character to life. Definitely my favourite villain of the Walking Dead so far.

Suits is also back and I have managed to watch episode one of the first season. I absolutely love this program and I have only just caught up {another late comer to a series}

Another Netflix programme I have managed to watch this month is Anne with An E. I loved the first season, and although nothing can beat the original Anne of Green Gables, I really enjoyed this adaption. Im not too far in to the second series. Have you watched it? What do you think?

Two songs I have been loving this month are, Zedd – The Middle and Jess Glynne – I’ll Be There. They have been playing constantly on my Spotify and in the car.

Its been so hot I have literally been in shorts, skirts, dresses and cami’s. Gracie and Henry have spent the best part of the week walking round in their swimming costumes and trunks. I won’t lie, my wardrobe has been rather repetitive the last month, so I have no pictures to share. pretty boring really!
I will share this though. Henry decided he wanted to be Harry Potter for the afternoon. How adorable is he? With his missing tooth too, why is it, they all poke their tongue through the tiny gap when they smile!
I have struggled this  month with dinners, so we have had lots of BBQ’s and generally easy quick meals. I really don’t want to be cooking in this heat! Anyone else with me on this?
This month I have had a play around with the blog, changed the fonts, colours and layout and i am really enjoying it. I have made an effort and its spurred me on to blog a bit more. I am still not out of my slump from a while ago!
It was my birthday this month so James and Gracie made me the most adorable cake! I was thoroughly spoilt and got some really lovely gifts which I am so grateful for. But back to the cake, I mean, how awesome is this?

I wrote this post this month, I would love you to have a read and have a celebratory drink with me, I am so grateful for the NHS, the way I have been monitored and still being monitored. There is still a long journey ahead of me, and I am still so worried about every mole thats on me, but I think thats only natural considering what I have been through. Its good news though and I reached I huge milestone, for any cancer patient.

Whatever your up too, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I am linking up with the ever so lovely Morgana over at her new blog Coffee Work Sleep Repeat  for this linky,
