How Does Your Garden Grow? #1

Most of you know we have just moved from a flat and now have a lovely 3 bedroom house with a garden!! I still keep pinching myself that it finally happened!

Gardening is not my forte.. Its been a while since I had a garden and even then I was not in charge of it..

Now we have that oh so lovely outdoor space, I am in love with it, I want to be out there all the time. I have made it a “thing” to have a cup of tea on the little table that was left everyday and although its not a garden as such yet, it soon will be.

Our first job was the garden.. It sloped from the back to the back of the house and it was full of concrete, and high bricked beds. I have no idea about plants, when to plant them and how to care for them {just add water I guess!} This is where the in-laws come in, they have the most gorgeous garden I could only wish for!

So far, we have gutted the whole thing, smashed the concrete up and levelled it all over.. We have had a delivery of a shed, which I lovingly painted yesterday and tomorrow we get a delivery for a wooden climbing frame for the children. We have also received our new paving slabs. It all seems to be coming together.. as of yet we only have two plants we saved, a Fuchsia and another plant {which I have no idea what it is!} I am hoping to fill it with lots of gorgeous plants and really make it into something we have dreamed of…

Was gutted we couldn’t save this.. Such a pretty flower…

The shed… I want it for myself, but apparently its to house garden equipment! Sucks…

The nameless bush…

I also moved from a flat to a house with a garden, it’s so nice just to be able to go outside without having to go somewhere isn’t it? Love your green shed 🙂 Looks like you are working hard!

So great to have a garden at last, I bet you are loving having the extra space! I always see the garden as an extra room of the house – especially in Summer time. Looks like you have been working hard on it already – gardening’s really addictive as you always become so proud after you’ve worked on it and step back to admire your work – and it spurs you on to do more!
    Thanks for joining in x

It’s definitely addictive! It’s fast becoming something we want it to be! Looking forward to linking up in the future x
