WATCHING PLASTER DRY | THE ORDINARY MOMENTS
Ok, so technically this isn’t ordinary in our household, it is in fact a not so ordinary moment but a moment we have been longing for for over 3 months! We have waited so patiently for this to start and finally last week we had our lounge walls plastered. This week we are finishing off the plaster work by having the 3 bedrooms re-done.
As part of our house makeover the plastering was a must and although we knew the walls were bad we actually didn’t realise how wonky some were! The plasterer said it was quite possibly the worst job he has ever done. So far the lounge, back room and office look amazing and I love watching it go from that dark purple colour to the dry pink. I love running my hand over freshly plastered walls. There is something aesthetically pleasing about smooth walls. Or is that just me who has that feeling?
I have loads of ideas and thoughts running through my head about decor and so far Mr B has agreed with all my proposals. I cannot wait to get my Orla Kiely feature wallpaper up in the lounge, but before that we have had to clear out three bedrooms.
Yesterday was a manic and Mr B spent his birthday moving all the furniture upstairs, downstairs. My lounge has 3 bedrooms worth of furniture in and I am already starting to feel a little twitchy about all the chaos.
But the bonus of doing this means we can have a proper clear out. We have managed to sell a few items this weekend thanks to local Facebook pages and made a few trips to the dump. Hopefully when we have decorated the bedrooms they will be more clutter free!
So heres to me watching plaster dry for the next week or so!
