The Little Girl {5 Years 7 Months}

Wow! We are only 5 months away tiIl your 6th birthday!! I really do not know where the time has gone.

Yesterday I received a letter in your book bag. It was a letter explaining about the teaching system next year! I am astounded at how quickly this year has gone, and before we know it you and your class, will not be the babies of the school! You will be in year 1!

But before we get all sad about that we have lots of things that have happened in the year you started school! You can now write sentences and 9 times out of 10 you always bring me something you have created at school. I love the way you write your last name on everything you do. Even in cards!

You are now a pretty damn good reader and making progress every time you pick up a book. Its amazing that this time last year, you were quite happy to run around the play group, not caring about having to write, read, spell.. But now you thrive on it and you love to learn new things.

You and your brother… You can wind each other up one minute but a second later you can be best of friends. You have recently started to sleep in his bed of a weekend, you absolutely loved half term as you were in there every night! Its strange but you sleep better in your brothers bed than you do your own! I guess its the comfort of him being there {even though you share a bedroom!!}

Mummy and daddy have managed to do the imaginable and sell our flat we call home, and buy a house! Its been a long time coming and you are so excited about it. You cannot wait to get in the garden and have you paddling pool out on demand, and most importantly you cannot wait to have you very own climbing frame, which we have promised to get you.

You have become a lovely, intelligent, gorgeous, funny little girl {you do have major meltdowns but which 5 year old doesn’t!} I could not be more proud of the little girl you have become. Its sad to see you grow up and learn new things but thats how life works. I am loving watching you.

Mummy could not be more proud.
