Granny Square Love…

Now I know how to granny square I have decided my first ever make project will be a granny square blanket!

Already I am overly excited with the results I am getting! I have been making them at every opportunity and I have worked out in total I need to make at least 70 squares!

The squares I have made are quite large and for a suitable blanket to cover me I think its going to be a reasonable size in the end. I have chosen 2 shades of raspberry pinks and a very pale pink. I am so excited to see the end result and cannot wait to lay on the sofa of a night with it. (although it will be summer by the time I’ve done it!) Blanket1 Blanket Crochet Diary

You are so clever. I really want to learn to crochet (please tell me it’s not too tricky) but I just never seem to find any free time. I will though, I know I will. And I know that your blanket is going to be gorgeous when it’s finished. c

Its not tricky at all! I thought it would be, but once you know the basics its really simple. You need to stick with it as it takes time to get used to it, but once you have the hang of it’s easy peasy 🙂

      Give it a go! x

That love square is really lovely, the colours go together so well!
My aunt made me a technicolour type one when my son was born and we love it!

When I chose the wool I really was not sure, but after the first square was made I instantly loved the combination. I wanted to try a more vibrant one but that meant spending a lot of money on wool and I couldn’t justify it!
