Hello! Its been so long since I actually sat down and typed a proper blog post. I could say I am not entirely sure why, but the truth is, life has just got in the way. In January I promised myself that I would work hard on the blog, and I did. I worked to get it to how I wanted and then I hit a brick wall. I started work – albeit one day a week. The training just seemed to suck all the energy out of me. The last thing I wanted to do of an evening was open up the laptop after sitting at a computer all day.

I’ve been humming and ahhing about what this space actually means to me now and I was struggling to get the motivation to open up WordPress and type. I was lost for any kind of enthusiasm and ideas. So I stopped. I stopped altogether and I felt like I had lost a part of my life. Its a weird thing blogging. I share quite a bit and enjoy so many good things about it. Last weekend I sat talking to my mum and her husband  and I just felt sad I had given up so easily. I’d taken a rather longer break than anticipated.

There is so much I want to do going forward. I see bloggers meeting up all the time and I wish I had a little group to meet up with, because bloggers get one another. They understand these little hiccups and support one another. I have plans to grow my blog and social accounts. I need to push myself going forward and not really worry about what others are doing, how well they are doing or even comparing my blog to others. Everyone is different, everyone blogs in their own way.

I have a few things coming up on the blog. Things I enjoy sharing. Posts I am excited about. Regular monthly posts that I will be sharing which consist of Monthly Favourites, What I’m Reading, What I’m Watching. I will also continue to join in with two linkys that I have loved joining in with Little Loves and Snapshots and Scenes. In between all this I am hoping to share some days in the life, posts about our adventures and not forgetting my skin cancer journey, because that still plays a huge part in my life at the moment.

Last year I started a linky and I am changing it up slightly. I’ll be posting a weekly post called Sunday Favourites.  I will be sharing 3 things I have loved that week, whether it be a blog post, Instagram account, vlog or anything that I feel worthy of a share. I would love to open it as a linky, but we will see how that goes!

I’m taking baby steps back into the world of blogging. I’ve really missed it. Its so therapeutic to get your thoughts out onto a blank screen. I need to just plan my time better with blogging and life. Lets see how it all pans out!

I’m totally with you on all that! Although I did have a nudge with my blog yesterday after the theme host disappeared off the face of the earth along with my theme, so I had to hastily upload another one. Needless to say that now leaves me having to go through all my blog posts and updating them to fit the new theme and working out what it can do etc – so not what I fancy doing with my weekend but I’ll live! Next up will be a name change I think. I’m bored with mine (again). And we so need to meet up. I just looked up train times to get me from down here in the arse end of nowhere (so affectionate towards the weird little place I moved to) up to Bluewater. I’d drive but I’m a wimp when it comes to motorways and it means I can leave the car with the Mr and not have to rush back to pick the kids up from school 😉 x
