I actually cannot believe that in a few hours we will be celebrating a new year. 2017 has been so wonderful and I am quite sad to say goodbye. Its also another year I’ve been blogging, and its been an ideal time to reflect on what I have shared. To me its been such a wonderful year for my little corner of the internet. I’m slowing becoming more confident and even started a YouTube channel to fit along side the blog. It is a huge step for me. I’m still debating what I share and how often I post, but I am enjoying experimenting with different options
Firstly I would just like to say a huge thank-you to everyone that reads this blog, comments, follows me on social media and those that watch my videos. It means so much to me that you keep coming back. I love doing what I do. I’m hoping this year I am able to work with bigger clients. I am so grateful for the ones I have worked with throughout 2017 and hope I can work with them in the future. Its something I love to do and i can’t see me stopping anytime soon.
This year has seen me blogging honestly about my skin cancer journey, which is still very much ongoing. the guilt I have daily about how it effects my family. I also shared a very frank post about what skin cancer looks like as to me I think its really important. Mine was just a mole, which flared up and I would not of thought in a million years it would be a melanoma. If the post got people looking and checking their moles then I did my job. I’m so passionate now about skin cancer and its forms.
I took a huge leap out of my comfort zone this year and shared with you my favourite blogs, insta-accounts, youtube channels and what I was loving on TV in my mini-series For The Love Of. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed sharing and giving a shout out to those that I have been following for years. I did become a bit slack with it and got way-laid towards the end of the year, but I will be back in 2018 with monthly posts rather than weekly.
As a family we have done so much and I round up each month with a post about my two. I enjoy reflecting on their behaviour, achievements and growth. Its definitely a post I will be continuing in the new year. We also went on an amazing holiday to Center Parcs, which as a family was so much fun and something we are looking forward to in 2018. The biggest thing of 2017 was the newest addition to the mummyheartsyou you household. Fleur! She is a dream and although still in the puppy stages, she has bought some much love and laughter to the family.
In late 2017 I embarked on a YouTube journey. Its still very very new but I am enjoying getting myself into a routine and posting monthly favourite videos. I have also really enjoyed linking up with a group of ladies and sharing snapshots and scenes each month. It really helps me learn so much more about editing and the technical side of videos. Both of these videos will defiantly be carrying on through 2018. Lastly I shared my rather unhealthy obsession with Flamingos!
So thats it. Some of my most read post throughout 2017 and some of my personal favourites. Below are some of my most favourite pictures of 2017! All there is to say now is, I really hope you have a magical new year and hope 2018 is everything you want it to be!
